2009 County Council Election Results for Redhill. Source: Surrey County Council website

Last time, the County Council election was a straight contest between the Green Party and Conservatives in Redhill.

This year, Redhill has been divided into two County seats. The Redhill East division now includes parts of Earlswood while Redhill West and Meadvale includes parts of the former Reigate Central division.  Redhill West and Meadvale is 60% Redhill and only 40% Reigate and Meadvale.

Last time, the Greens lost narrowly in Redhill (see graph) and the Lib Dems won narrowly in Reigate Central.

With the boundary changes, the Lib Dems are unlikely to win again. The Green Party has the best chance of beating the Conservatives in Redhill.

The Conservatives have an unhealthy dominance on the County Council. Help us change this.

Make your vote count tomorrow. Vote for Jonathan Essex in Redhill East or Sarah Finch in Redhill West and Meadvale.

By the way, make sure you check where your polling station is, as for some people this has changed.
